10-Day Super Bowl LIVE festival and events comes to Houston

The Super Bowl isn't a one-day event- it's a week-long party! A host of family-friendly activities, concerts, tastings, and yes, super-duper-exclusive affairs are set to take over the city.
Many Exciting events and important milestones are planned leading up to the multi-day festival that will culminate with the playing of Super Bowl LI on February 5, 2017.

What: Super Bowl LIVE

When: Jan 28- Feb 5 10:00 am - 11:00 pm
Where: Discovery Green


Family friendly!
Super Bowl LIVE presented by Verizon is a free-to-the-public fan festival that will be held in and around Discovery Green for nine days leading up to Super Bowl LI. There will be interactive games and exhibits, live music, food and fun for the entire family. There will also be Future Flight, the signature attraction of the event, a combination of virtual reality and a drop tower that takes riders on a trip to Mars and back. With so much to do and so many great performances, there is something for everyone who visits.

What: Game City Showcase
When: Jan 30 - Feb 2 6-9 p.m.
Where: Midtown, Museum, EaDo and Theater Districts
Make your way through four of the city's most eclectic districts during this free, four-day community event series, which is loaded with music,
local art, celebrity pop-ups and food and drink sampling from eight to 10 different restaurants.

What: Mid Main Superfest
When: Feb 2-Feb 5
Where: 3600-3700 blocks of Main Street


Catch live performances from the The Polyphonic Spree, The TonTons, US., and more during this free, four-day music/art/food block party,
along with a varity of pop-up shops and culinary demonstrations.

Catch NBC's season
2 The Voice contestant RaeLynn as she headlines a free concert for Pearland's two-day Super Weekend. The Baytown native will perform her
debut album WILDHORSE, including her current single "Love Triangle", with Texas artist Two Tons of Steel as opening act for the show.

Where: George R. Brown Convention Center

Provides visitors of all ages with the chance to participate in NFL-themed games and activities. Fans can test their football skills, view live game action
using virtual reality technology, get a photo with the most prestigious trophy in sports, the Vince Lombardi Trophy, and take part in a range of other football-themed experiences.

When: Jan 31, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Where: Houston Ballroom, University of Houston

Prepping for the Big Game doesn’t mean all play. UH is hosting a daylong conference for the young interested in pursuing a career in sports and the young at heart
who want to stay up-to-date with the industry. Sports media professionals from the NFL and Forbes to ESPN and Adidas will hold a variety of interactive panels.

What: Lil Wayne & Celebrity Friends “Undisputed” 2017 Super Bowl Party
When: Feb 4 at 9 p.m.

After recently dropping hints of releasing four projects—Carter V, Dedication 6, Funeral, and Velvet—this year, it may be safe to assume that Lil Wayne will perform

Last year Playboy shocked its partygoers when they announced that their iconic publication would debut its first non-nude issue in March, a month following the Super Bowl.

Last year Leather & Laces put on a unique spectacle from Cirque USA, a combination of aerial, opera, street and ballet performances, so expect to see similar jaw-dropping performances, along with hand-rolled sushi, open bars and hors d’oeuvres.

Where: The Grove at Discovery Green

As the Houston Texans’ “official hospitality venue,” this three-day affair will feature daily Q&A sessions, mixology demonstrations, cigar rollers, DJs and live bands for Marriott Rewards members only.
